Intro!
Hello! My name is Clara, and I've decided to review a cult classic movie every week for the next two months. If you don't already know what it is, A 'cult film' is one that acquires a dedicated fanbase outside of the mainstream, who quote the movie's dialogue, view it repeatedly, and hold it in high esteem. I'm interested in how films become cult classics, so my goal in this 8 week long period is to better understand why cult followings for movies are formed, and also just to see if I like the movies themselves.
The first movie I'm gonna watch is American Psycho by Mary Harron, released in 2000. This cult classic has recently gotten some mainstream attention, so I'm gonna go see what it's all about.
Hi Clara, I am so excited to hear your movie reviews. I think that the American Psycho movie will be interesting to watch even though I never seen it, but I have seen people wear t-shirts of Patrick Bateman. Thanks
